In Seminole County we run full-service seasonal rental: we design the display on a photo of your house, supply commercial-grade LEDs cut to fit, install with an insured crew, set the timers, fix outages free all season, then take everything down in January and store it. Displays start at $1,000. Our crews route in from Volusia County, so booking in September or October matters here.
What does full-service holiday lighting installation include?
One price, one season, and you never own the lights. We own them, we hang them, we take them down. That is the whole model, and it is why our Christmas light rental page reads the way it does.
What that covers
Design, product, labor, timers, service calls, takedown and storage are all inside the same number. Nothing is billed at removal.
If you want the deeper answer on who supplies the product, we already wrote that one: do installers provide the lights.
- A mockup drawn on a photo of your house
- Commercial-grade LED lights custom cut to the home
- Install by an insured crew, no screws and no staples
- Timers set so the display runs itself
- Free bulb and outage fixes all season, usually within 72 hours once you report it
- Takedown between January 1 and January 31
- Off-season storage in labeled bins with color-coded tags
Why do Seminole County homeowners need to book earlier?
Because our crews and our storage facility are in Volusia County. Castle Christmas Lights serves homes from Daytona Beach to Winter Park, and Seminole County installs get grouped into route days instead of one-off trips.
How the calendar fills
Returning customers book first. By mid-November we are usually booked into mid-December.
September or October is the right window. There is also a 15 percent early-booking discount for the 2026 season, though it does not stack on a job already sitting at the $1,000 minimum.
If you are in Oviedo or Winter Springs, get your photos over to us early. Booking in September or October is the best way to get the install date you want.
What does holiday lighting cost in Sanford, Lake Mary, Oviedo and Winter Springs?
Same pricing everywhere we go. Every display starts at $1,000, and that is the minimum job.
| Display | Season price |
|---|---|
| Most single-story rooflines | $1,000 - $2,000 |
| Two-story homes | $1,500 - $2,500 |
| Large custom full-property | $4,500 and up |
| Roofline, per foot | about $7 |
| Ridgelines, per foot | about $10 |
Per-foot figures include the lights. A 50 percent deposit locks your install date and the balance is charged the day of install. Full breakdown lives on our pricing page.
What home styles are we lighting out here?
A mix. Single-story ranch homes, two-story stucco with tile roofs, shingle and metal roofs, homes with tall palms out front and homes with big oaks over the driveway.
What that changes
Attachment method, mostly. Clips slide under or clamp to shingles, clip onto gutters, or connect to metal flashing. No screws, no staples, and it works on tile, stucco, shingle and metal. We covered the roofing side in detail in our guide on stucco, tile and metal roofs.
One real cost driver: leaf-filter style gutter guards. Those have to come off and go back on around the lights, so those homes run higher.

Rooflines and ridgelines get classic C9 LED bulbs. Everything else is mini lights, drops or stakes.
The list
- Rooflines along the gutter and fascia, and ridgelines at the roof peaks
- Tree trunks and canopies wrapped in 70-light LED mini strands with 4-inch spacing
- Icicle drop lights hung from tree branches
- Shrubs and landscaping
- Walkway and driveway edges in stake lights, roughly one stake per foot
- Pre-lit 9-foot commercial garland and 24-inch wreaths on request
Rough tree counts: a small palm trunk takes about 2 strands, a large palm 4 to 5, an oak wrapped to about 20 feet takes 7 to 8. Not sure what fits? Read roofline vs. ridgeline vs. tree wrapping.
We skip icicle lights on rooflines. We haven't found a commercial-grade icicle light that holds up for a full season, so when we say icicle drops we mean lights hung from tree branches, where they look great.
How do we quote a house we have not stood in front of?
From photos and satellite imagery. We do not do in-person quote visits during install season, and that is how we keep route days moving. The long version is in our guide on getting a quote.
Most jobs end up front-facing only. Sides and back are optional, and plenty of homeowners in Lake Mary and Sanford stop at the front roofline.
- 1Text us photos
Two to four clear photos of the front of the house, plus any trees or columns you want lit. Or we pull it from Google Maps and Street View.
- 2We measure the roofline
Linear feet, measured on the satellite view. That is what the per-foot numbers get applied to.
- 3Tell us a rough budget
Not to haggle. It sizes the design before we draw anything.
- 4We draw the mockup
A design mockup on the photo of your house, so you approve scope and color before a price gets built.
- 5Accept and lock the date
A 50 percent non-refundable deposit holds the install day. The balance is charged the day we install.
Is hiring holiday light installers better than doing it yourself?
Depends what you value. The honest difference is not the lights on the roof, it is the ladder work, the January part and who fixes it when a run goes dark.
We carry a $2 million commercial and residential liability policy plus workers' compensation on every employee, and we hand over a certificate of insurance on request. If you are comparing companies, our guide on choosing an installer near you lists what to ask.
- You buy the lights and store them
- Big-box strands are not commercial grade
- Your ladder, your roof, your risk
- You climb back up for every outage
- Takedown lands on you in January
- Lights are ours, cut to fit your house
- Commercial-grade LED, warm white by default
- Insured crew, clips only, no screws or staples
- Outage fixes free all season once reported
- Takedown January 1-31, stored in labeled bins
What goes wrong during a Florida season?
Things we actually see: GFCI outlets tripping after heavy rain, wet outlets that will not reset, landscapers cutting or snagging wire, and squirrels chewing wire.
Your side of it
Report outages. We are not responsible for ones we never hear about, and once you tell us we fix them free, usually within 72 hours. Keep working outlets near the lit areas, GFCI recommended, and tell your landscaper the lights are up.
We set the timers so the display runs itself, so it's best to leave them as programmed and plug your own decorations into a separate outlet. If anything looks off, call or text us and we'll sort it out.

When do the lights come down?
Takedown starts January 1 and finishes by January 31. Nothing is due at takedown, since the balance was charged on install day. Weather can push removal later.
Two small jobs for you
Unplug the cords at season end and contact us to schedule removal. If you want the display up past January, arrange it with us ahead of time and we will work it in.
Everything comes back to our Volusia facility in labeled bins with color-coded tags, so the same custom-cut display goes right back up next year. More on that in removal and storage, and if you are in Oviedo or Winter Springs, removal gets scheduled with you the same way installs do.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Seminole County is part of our service area, including Sanford, Lake Mary, Oviedo and Winter Springs. Our crews and storage facility are in Volusia County, so Seminole installs are grouped into route days rather than booked one at a time. That is why we push homeowners down there to get on the calendar in September or October.
Two-story homes generally run $1,500 to $2,500 for the season, lights included. Every display starts at $1,000, which is our minimum job. As a rough guide, roofline runs about $7 per foot and ridgelines about $10 per foot. Large custom full-property displays start at $4,500. Commercial properties are measured and quoted individually.
No. It is a seasonal rental. We own all the lights and equipment, cut them to fit your house, install them, service them all season, then remove them in January and store them at our facility in labeled bins with color-coded tags. The next year the same display goes back up on the same home.
No. We do not install lights a customer purchased, including app-controlled or permanent track systems, and we do not place stand-alone yard decor like inflatables. We only hang our own commercial-grade LED product so we can stand behind it and fix outages free all season. Warm white is our default and most popular color.
Installs run September through December, but returning customers book first and by mid-November we are usually booked into mid-December. Send photos and get a quote in September or October if you want a specific install date.
