What's included in every price
This is where "hire a professional" and "buy strands at the store" stop being comparable. A Castle quote covers the entire life cycle of the display:
- Custom design and mockup. We map exactly where the lights go before anyone climbs a ladder, so you approve the look first.
- The lights are included. Commercial-grade LED roofline bulbs, mini lights, clips, timers and cords — all ours, all supplied. There is no purchase.
- Professional installation by an insured crew backed by a $2 million liability policy and workers' compensation coverage.
- Free bulb and outage fixes all season. If something blinks, you call, we come.
- Takedown starting January 1st, finished no later than January 21st.
- Off-season storage at our facility in labeled, color-coded bins, so next year's re-install is already mapped.

The five things that move the price
1. Linear feet of roofline
Roofline is priced by the foot — our working figure is about $7 per linear foot for the gutter and fascia line. A simple rectangular ranch might be 150 feet; a home with porch returns, gables and a wraparound eave can pass 300. More feet, more lights, more clips, more time.
2. Stories and roof pitch
Height is the single biggest factor after footage. A two-story roofline needs taller ladders, more safety gear and more time per foot, which is why two-story homes start around $500 higher than single-story homes of the same footprint. Steep or tile roofs add a little more.
3. Ridgelines
Lighting the peaks of the roof above the gutter line gives the full silhouette you see on the show-stopper houses. Ridgeline runs roughly $10 per foot because the crew is working at the top of the roof rather than the edge.
4. Trees, shrubs and walkways
Tree wrapping with mini lights, icicle drops in the branches, lit shrubs and pathway lighting are each priced on top of the roofline. A pair of wrapped palms flanking the entry is one of the highest-impact upgrades per dollar; a long driveway lined with pathway lights is one of the more labor-intensive ones.

Christmas light installation cost per foot
People search for this constantly, so here it is plainly: with Castle, roofline works out to about $7 per linear foot and ridgeline to about $10 per foot, with the $1,000 minimum covering the design, install, maintenance, takedown and storage that come with any size job. Two caveats. First, those per-foot figures include the lights — most per-foot numbers you'll see online are labor only, with the homeowner buying the strands. Second, footage is measured on the actual eave line, not the footprint on a property card, so gables and returns count. A quick measurement is part of every quote, and it's free.

- 15% off for early bookings in the 2026 season, while the calendar is still open.
- A 50% non-refundable deposit holds your install date. The balance is due the day of installation. We accept cash, checks and all major credit cards, and a card can be kept on file and charged after the install.

Yes — every Castle display uses our own commercial-grade LED lights, clips, timers and cords. You never buy anything. It's a full-service rental: we own the lights, install them, fix them, take them down and store them. There is nothing to purchase and nothing to keep in your garage.
Displays start at $1,000. That covers a single-story roofline on a typical home and includes design, installation, in-season fixes, takedown and storage. We don't do partial or DIY-assist jobs below that.
Roofline-only is our most popular package and exactly what the $1,000 – $2,000 range describes for a single-story home. Two-story rooflines run $1,500 – $2,500. You can always add ridgelines, trees or walkways next season — your layout is already mapped.
