How Christmas light rental works

Renting vs. buying $1,500 of lights
Here's the math homeowners run every fall. Buying enough quality lights, clips, timers and cords for a full roofline-and-trees display can easily cost $1,500 at retail. Then comes the part nobody budgets for: a share of the strands fail every year, the bins take over a corner of the garage, and by year three you're re-buying and re-untangling. You've spent the money and the Saturdays.
Renting flips that. The lights are commercial-grade, uniform and ours to maintain. When one fails, we replace it. When the season ends, they leave with us. Next year, the same design goes back up from the same bins. You pay for a finished display, not for inventory.

What's in the bins
Every display we store is broken into runs — front roofline, garage roofline, ridgeline, left palm, right palm, walkway — each coiled, tagged and packed into a color-coded bin that matches the design map for your house. That's why re-installing in year two takes a fraction of the time and why the display looks identical to the one you approved. It's also why we can replace a failed strand between seasons without you noticing: the bin tells us exactly what belongs where.
Who rental is for — and who it isn't
Rental is for homeowners who want a full, professional display every year without owning inventory, climbing ladders or storing bins. It's for people who'd rather pay a known seasonal price than a big purchase, and for anyone whose roof, trees or HOA make DIY a bad idea. It isn't for someone who wants to own a set of lights and hang them personally, and it isn't a permanent, year-round system — we don't sell or install those.
