If you want Christmas lights in Oviedo or Winter Springs, we quote from photos, draw a mockup on your house, and install commercial-grade C9 LEDs we own and remove in January. Displays start at $1,000, two-story homes run $1,500 to $2,500, and Seminole County installs run on grouped route days, so booking in September or October matters.
How does Christmas light installation in Oviedo work if your crews are in Volusia?
Our crews and storage facility sit in Volusia County, so every Seminole County job, Oviedo, Winter Springs, Sanford and Lake Mary, gets grouped into route days. We fill a day with homes in the same area instead of driving one house at a time.
That is the whole reason early booking matters more here than at home base. Once a route day is full, the next one may be a week or more out.
What that means for you
Pick your date early and the rest is easy. We handle design, install, timers, in-season fixes and January takedown. Castle Christmas Lights serves homes from Daytona Beach to Winter Park.
If a neighbor or two on your street wants lights, it helps to send us the addresses together. Houses close to each other land on the same route day, which makes scheduling simpler for everyone.
What makes a display HOA-friendly?
Clean lines and one idea, done well. A crisp C9 roofline in warm white reads sharp from the street and does not fight with the house.
Warm white is our default and the most popular choice. C9 bulbs come in any color or pattern, so alternating red and warm white, cool white or multicolor are all on the table. We draw it on a photo of your house first, so you see the color and the scope before anything is ordered.
We do not place stand-alone yard decor like inflatables, and we do not install permanent track systems. If you are weighing those, we covered permanent versus seasonal lighting separately.
- Pick one anchor element, usually the front roofline
- Keep the bulb color consistent across the front
- Add ridgelines only if the peaks are visible from the street
- Wrap columns or trees to balance a wide elevation
- Stake lights along the walkway to tie it together
- Ask your HOA about any color or timing rules before you approve the mockup

What do two-story homes cost to light?
Two-story homes run $1,500 to $2,500 a season. Single-story rooflines are $1,000 to $2,000, and every display starts at $1,000, which is our minimum. Large custom full-property displays are $4,500 and up.
The rough per-foot guide is about $7 per foot for roofline and about $10 per foot for ridgelines, lights included. Most jobs we do are front-facing only. Sides and back are optional.
Full detail is on the pricing page.
| Display | Season price |
|---|---|
| Minimum | $1,000 |
| Single-story roofline | $1,000 - $2,000 |
| Two-story home | $1,500 - $2,500 |
| Large custom property | $4,500+ |
Can you light the big shade trees in the yard?
Yes. Trunks and canopies get wrapped in 70-light LED mini strands with 4-inch spacing, and we also hang icicle drop lights from tree branches.
Rough counts help with budgeting: a small palm trunk takes about 2 strands, a large palm 4 to 5, and an oak wrapped to about 20 feet takes 7 to 8. We think a single wrapped tree next to a lit roofline makes a real difference.
For the full method, see our guides on wrapping trees and lighting palms in Florida.
Telling your landscaper the lights are up is a small thing that saves real hassle. Trimmers and edgers around wrapped trunks and stake lights are one of the problems we actually see in a Florida season.

With clips, never screws, staples or drilling. Clips slide under or clamp to shingles, clip onto gutters, or connect to metal flashing.
On a tile roof, a shingle-style clip slides up under the tile where it fits. On tile ridgelines we often use a removable adhesive that comes off at the end of the season. It works on tile, stucco, shingle and metal homes.
One thing that changes the price
Homes with leaf-filter style gutter guards cost more, because the guards have to come off and go back on around the lights. More on surfaces in our stucco, tile and metal roof guide.

How do you quote a house without coming out to see it?
From photos and satellite. We do not do in-person quote visits during install season, and we do not need them.
Text us two to four clear photos of the front of the house plus any trees or columns, or we pull the house up on Google Maps and Street View and measure the roofline in linear feet on the satellite view. We ask for a rough budget up front, not to haggle, but to size the design before we draw.

Is renting lights better than buying your own?
For most homeowners here, renting is simpler. We own the lights and the equipment, custom cut every strand to your house, and store it all in labeled bins with color-coded tags so the same display goes back up next year.
Rooflines and ridges get classic C9 LED bulbs only. We skip icicle lights on rooflines because nobody makes a commercial-grade icicle light that lasts.
Our full seasonal rental and residential install pages spell out what is included.
- You own, store and replace everything
- Ladder time on a two-story elevation
- Strands cut for last year's house
- Outages are yours to chase
- Boxes in the garage all year
- One price covers design, lights and install
- Insured crew on the ladders
- Lights custom cut to your rooflines
- Free bulb and outage fixes all season
- Takedown January 1-31 and off-season storage with us
When should Oviedo and Winter Springs homeowners book?
September or October. Installs run September through December, returning customers book first, and by mid-November we are usually booked into mid-December.
Early bookers get a 15% early-booking discount for the 2026 season. It does not stack on a job already at the $1,000 minimum.
Start on the Oviedo page or the Winter Springs page, and neighbors in Sanford ride the same route days. If you want the county-wide picture, read our Seminole County guide or our notes on when to book in Florida.
What happens if a section goes dark in December?
Let us know and we fix it free, usually within 72 hours once it is reported. Service calls are part of the price.
Things we see in a Florida season: GFCI outlets tripping after heavy rain, wet outlets that will not reset, landscapers cutting or snagging wire, and squirrels chewing wire. None of that is a reason to climb a ladder yourself.
It also helps to leave the timers exactly as we programmed them and plug your own decorations into a separate outlet. If anything looks off, a call or text to 386-215-5461 is all it takes.
- Working outlets near the lit areas, GFCI recommended
- Timers left as we set them
- Your own decorations on a separate outlet
- Your landscaper told the lights are up
- A quick text to us the day you notice an outage

No. This is a full-service seasonal rental. We own all the lights and equipment, cut the strands to fit your house, install them, set the timers, fix outages during the season, take everything down between January 1 and January 31, and store it at our facility in labeled bins with color-coded tags so the same display goes back up next year.
We use clips that slide under or clamp to shingles, clip onto gutters, or connect to metal flashing. On tile, clips slide up under the tile where they fit, and tile ridgelines are often held with a removable adhesive that comes off at takedown. No screws, no staples, no drilling. The method works on tile, stucco, shingle and metal homes.
September or October is best. Our crews and storage are in Volusia County, so Seminole County installs are grouped into route days and the calendar fills from there. Returning customers book first, and by mid-November we are usually booked into mid-December. Early bookers also get a 15% early-booking discount for the 2026 season, though it does not stack on a job already at the $1,000 minimum.
We do not install customer-supplied lights, including app-controlled or permanent systems, and we do not place stand-alone yard decor such as inflatables. Everything we hang is commercial-grade LED supplied by us and custom cut to your house. That is what lets us stand behind the display and fix outages free all season instead of troubleshooting someone else's product.
