Christmas lights in Daytona Beach hold up when the attachment and the connections are built for coastal conditions: clips that slide under shingles or clamp to gutters, commercial-grade LED strands, and plug points kept at working GFCI outlets. We own, install, fix and store the lights, so salt-air wear is our problem, not yours. See pricing.
What does salt air actually do to Christmas lights?
Salt air is hard on metal and on anything plugged in outdoors. That is why the attachment method and the connection points matter more near the water than the bulbs themselves.
Where we focus
We use clips that slide under or clamp to shingles, clip onto gutters, or connect to metal flashing. No screws, no staples, no drilling. On tile roofs the clips slide up under the tile where they fit, and tile ridgelines are often held with a removable adhesive that comes off at takedown.
Everything we hang is commercial-grade LED, supplied by us and custom cut to the house. If a strand or bulb gives out during the season, we replace it free once you let us know.

It helps to have a working outlet near each lit area, and GFCI outlets are worth the peace of mind on a coastal home. If an outlet gets wet and will not reset, a quick text to us saves a lot of guessing.
Is a beachside home different from a mainland home?
Yes, mostly in the small details rather than the overall design. The display itself looks the same. What changes is how exposed the cords, plugs and clips are.
Two things we pay attention to
- Wind. Loose runs move. Spacing clips tight and keeping strands snug along the fascia keeps the line clean and quiet.
- Power. Outlets that take weather need to be solid. Heavy rain and GFCI trips are things we see in a Florida season.
Mainland homes in Port Orange and the inland side of Ormond Beach get the same lights and the same clips, just with less exposure.
Why do we skip icicle lights on rooflines?
Because nobody makes a commercial-grade icicle light that lasts. Rooflines and ridges get classic C9 LED bulbs only, and that is true everywhere we work, coastal or not.
When we say icicle drops in our service list, we mean drop lights hung from tree branches. That is a different product in a different spot, and it holds up.
What we do light
Rooflines along the gutter and fascia, ridgelines at the peaks, tree trunks and canopies in LED mini lights, shrubs and landscaping, and walkway or driveway edges with stake lights. Pre-lit garland and wreaths on request. More on the mix in our guide to roofline vs. ridgeline vs. tree wrapping.
DIY on a coastal home vs. how we do it
Plenty of people have hung their own lights and it works fine for a season. The difference near the water is what happens in week six, when something stops working and the ladder has to come back out.
- You own the strands and store them
- Outages are yours to chase down
- Ladder work in wind and on wet roofs
- Sets rarely cut to fit the house
- Takedown lands on your January
- We own the lights and the equipment
- Free bulb and outage fixes all season, usually within 72 hours once reported
- Insured crew does the ladder work
- Commercial-grade LED cut to your roofline
- Takedown January 1 to 31, stored at our facility

We fix it, free, as part of the price. There is no charge for in-season service calls. The one thing we need is a heads-up, since we cannot repair an outage nobody reported.
Things we actually see
GFCI outlets tripping after heavy rain. Wet outlets that will not reset. Landscapers cutting or snagging wire. Squirrels chewing wire. None of it is dramatic, and most of it is a quick visit.
Our timers are set so the lights run themselves. It is best to leave them as we programmed them, and to plug your own decorations into a separate outlet.

A small thing that saves hassle: mention to your lawn crew that the lights are up before their next visit. Wire along shrub beds and stake lights at walkway edges are easy to catch with a trimmer.
How does Christmas light installation in Daytona Beach get quoted?
From photos, not a site visit. We do not do in-person quotes during install season, which keeps the calendar moving for everyone.
Send two to four clear photos of the front of the house plus any trees or columns, or we work from Google Maps and Street View and measure the roofline in linear feet on the satellite view. Then we draw a mockup on the photo of your house and get a yes on scope and color before building the quote. The full walk-through lives in our quote guide.
- 1Text or submit photos
The form at /get-quote takes about 60 seconds. Photos can be texted to 386-215-5461.
- 2Share a rough budget
We ask up front, not to haggle, but to size the design before we draw anything.
- 3Review the mockup
We mark up a photo of your house so you can see scope and color before you commit.
- 4Lock the date
A 50% non-refundable deposit holds the install date. The balance is charged the day of install.
What does holiday lighting in Daytona Beach cost?
Every display starts at $1,000, which is our minimum. Lights, install, service, takedown and storage are all in that one price.
| Display | Season price |
|---|---|
| Most single-story rooflines | $1,000 - $2,000 |
| Two-story homes | $1,500 - $2,500 |
| Large custom full-property | $4,500 and up |
Rough per-foot guide: roofline about $7 per foot, ridgelines about $10 per foot, lights included. Homes with leaf-filter style gutter guards cost more, since the guards come off and go back on around the lights. Full detail on the pricing page.
When should coastal homeowners book?
Late October or early November is the sweet spot. Installs begin in late October or early November and run through December, returning customers book first, and by mid-November we are usually booked into mid-December.
Early bookers get a 15% early-booking discount for the 2026 season. It does not stack on a job already at the $1,000 minimum. More on timing in our booking guide.
- Two to four clear photos of the front of the house
- Any trees, palms or columns you want wrapped
- A rough budget range so we can size the design
- Color preference, with warm white as our default
- Note if you have leaf-filter style gutter guards
- Outlet locations near the areas you want lit

Frequently Asked Questions
We do. Our model is a full seasonal rental, so you never buy or own the strands. We supply commercial-grade LED lights, cut them to fit your house, install them, fix outages free all season, take them down between January 1 and 31, and store them in labeled bins at our facility so the same display goes back up next year.
We do not install lights a customer purchased, including app-controlled or permanent systems. Everything we hang is ours, which is how we keep the fit right and handle in-season repairs at no extra charge. We also do not place stand-alone yard decor such as inflatables. If you are weighing options, our guide on permanent versus seasonal lighting covers the trade-offs.
We use clips that slide under or clamp to shingles, clip onto gutters, or connect to metal flashing, and never screws, staples or drilling. On tile roofs clips slide up under the tile where they fit, and tile ridgelines often get a removable adhesive that comes off at takedown. The method works on tile, stucco, shingle and metal homes.
Let us know by call or text and we fix it free, usually within 72 hours once reported. Heavy rain can trip a GFCI outlet, and a wet outlet sometimes will not reset. Service calls during the season are included in the price. The one thing we cannot repair is an outage nobody tells us about, so a quick message is all it takes.
Late October or early November is best. Installs begin in late October or early November and run through December, returning customers book their dates first, and by mid-November we are usually booked into mid-December. A 50% non-refundable deposit locks your install date, and early bookers get a 15% early-booking discount for the 2026 season on jobs above the $1,000 minimum.
