The short answer
Professional Christmas light displays from Castle Christmas Lights start at $1,000. Where you land above that depends mostly on the size of your home and how much you add beyond the roofline. Here's where most Volusia County homes fall:

What's included in that price
This is where professional installation and the "buy strands at the store" route stop being comparable. Every Castle quote includes the whole life cycle of your display:
- Custom design. We map exactly where the lights go before anyone climbs a ladder.
- Commercial-grade LED lights. Brighter, more durable and more energy-efficient than retail strands — and you never buy them. It's a rental.
- Professional installation by an insured crew backed by a $2 million liability policy.
- Free bulb and outage fixes all season. If something blinks, you call and we come out.
- Takedown starting January 1st, finished no later than January 21st.
- Off-season storage at our facility. Labeled, color-tagged bins — nothing goes in your attic.
You rent the display; Castle owns the lights and equipment and removes everything at the end of the season. That's why re-installing next year is easy — your layout is already mapped and stored.
The five things that move the price
1. How many stories
Height is the biggest factor. A two-story roofline needs more material, more time and more safety equipment than a single-story ranch, which is why it starts around $500 higher.
2. How much roofline you have
A simple rectangular roof is quick. Lots of gables, dormers and porch returns mean more linear feet of lights and more clips, which adds up.
3. Ridgelines
Lighting the peaks of the roof on top of the gutter line gives the full silhouette effect you see on the show-stopper houses. It's an add-on to the roofline base.
4. Trees, shrubs and walkways
Tree wrapping with mini lights, icicle drops hung from branches, lit shrubs and pathway lighting are each priced on top of the roofline. A couple of wrapped palms and a lit walkway can be the difference between "nice" and "the house everyone slows down for."
5. When you book

How payment works
A 50% non-refundable deposit holds your spot on the calendar. The balance is due the day of installation, by card on file, check or cash. If we can't install safely for any reason, the deposit is fully refunded.
Is professional installation worth it?
